Alberto Eugenio Tozzi

Alberto Tozzi is a pediatrician and epidemiologist with a long experience in vaccines and in the surveillance and prevention of infectious diseases. He worked as a researcher in the Italian National

Public Health Institute for over 15 years focusing on vaccination strategies. He has collaborated with the World Health Organization and the European Centers for Disease Control in the prevention of infectious diseases. In 2004 he moved to the Bambino Gesù Hospital where he held positions of responsibility in the prevention of infectious diseases, telemedicine and innovation in  pediatrics.

He is currently head of the Predictive and Preventive Medicine Research Unit. In this role he deals with some projects for the application of artificial intelligence to pediatrics and training on this topic. As a corresponding member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, he works on the ethical issues of technologies in pediatrics. He is President of the International Society for Pediatric Innovation.
